Using FamilySearch.org to do genealogy is helpful.  However, it only allows you to download four generations at a time.  FamilySearch GEDCOM Assistant will automatically seek and download all connected pedigrees to make your genealogy work more efficient and accurate.  The extensive user manual walks you through every easy step of the way and provides troubleshooting for common errors.

Known Bugs

FamilySearch changed their URL style since I wrote this program, you can still use the new URL's...but you have to change the word "search" within them to use the capital letter 'S', and "eng" to have a capital 'E'.

When selecting a directory to save the outputted files to, the create new folder button will sometimes be disabled. This is an error in the Java programming language and not my code. Consult the user manual for more information (or create a new folder within the operating system). This will only occur under the "My Documents" subfolder.
